Here is my very first Schoolism assignment! This is for the Character Design class with the acclaimed and awesome, Steven Silver. I signed up for this class to try and add more life, variation, and balance to my character art. I feel like I am an ok 'drawer', but I lack the understanding of movement and shape that I need to make really awesome characters.
Anyways, this is Mr. Walter Chipwitther. We had to draw him based on a simple description. This is so Mr. Silver can assess where our skill level is at, and what we need to work on. As you can see, this fellow has quite a few problems, across the board. My eyes see it, but my brain doesnt know how to fix these problems, yet. I hope Mr. Silver's critique can help me around these artistic humps.
Feel free to leave your own thoughts here if you'd like. While I'll be relying on Mr. Silver for the most badass of all crits, I can always use more critical eyes and thoughts on how to improve. Thank you for journeying with me!
